Terms of use

Merrigo lists projects submitted by other people and links out to them. We do not make, own, host, test, endorse or sell those projects. When you follow a link you are leaving Merrigo and dealing directly with whoever made that project.

You may only post a project you made or have clear permission to share, and you keep full legal responsibility for everything you submit: the name, the words, the images and the link. You confirm that your submission does not break the law, infringe anyone else's rights, or break our content rules.

If someone brings a claim against us because of something you posted, you agree to cover the costs and losses that result from it, to the extent the law allows.

Every submission goes through automated checks — the link must use a secure connection, must not be a file download or a shortened or hidden address, must actually open, and is checked against Google's list of known unsafe sites. Live links are re-checked daily. Cover pictures are also reviewed automatically before a project appears.

These checks are automated and imperfect. They do not review every uploaded picture, they cannot tell whether a project works well, is honest, is safe to install, or handles your data properly, and a site can change after it passes. A passing check — including the "Scanned" mark on a card — means only that our automated tests raised no flags at that moment. It is not a guarantee, a recommendation, or a promise of safety.

We rely on reports from people using the site. If you see something wrong, use the report option on the card or project page and we will review it.

Merrigo is provided free, "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not promise the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that listings are accurate, current or complete.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Merrigo and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or of any project listed on it. This includes, but is not limited to: harm caused by a third-party project, site or download; malware, data loss or a security incident; inaccurate, offensive or unlawful content posted by someone else; money you spend or lose; and any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service, which for a free service is nothing. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

We may hide, remove or refuse any submission, and suspend or close any account, at any time and without notice — usually because of an automated check, a report from the community, or a breach of these terms. Where a project has been hidden the owner can ask us to look again from their own page.

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure. How we handle your information is set out in our privacy notice. You can delete your account and your projects from your own page at any time.

We may update these terms as Merrigo grows; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version. Questions or complaints, including copyright complaints, can be sent to us at simmerapp.support@gmail.com.
